What is the Hermès Lindy
The Lindy is a relatively recent Hermès design, usually dated to 2007 and named after the Lindy Hop dance. Its shape is a soft, wide rectangle with two handles on top and a zip across the opening. A pocket at each end folds in or out, so the outline of the bag changes with how full it is and how it is carried.
Strap lengths differ a lot between sizes. Hermès gives the 26 a 42 cm strap with snap hook and the 30 a 36 cm strap without snap hook, while the Lindy II mini has a 108 cm strap. The line is also listed in variants such as the Lindy 26 verso and the Lindy II mini bag Toile & Cuir, made in Goeland canvas with Swift calfskin. Hardware was listed in palladium plated and yellow gold plated finishes.

Lindy mini
At 19 × 13 × 9.5 cm, the Lindy II mini is the smallest Lindy on hermes.com, and its 108 cm strap is more than twice as long as the straps listed for the 26 and the 30. It also has the most varied choice of materials: taurillon Clemence at £6,420, Goeland canvas with Swift calfskin at £6,760, Volupto calfskin at £6,950 and Grizzly suede with Swift at £7,390, all UK prices. Bai/brun was confirmed only on the mini. Like the 26, it appears online far more often than the 30.
Lindy 26
In the middle sits the 26, at 26 × 18 × 14 cm: 7 cm wider, 5 cm taller and 4.5 cm deeper than the mini. That depth is what gives it room for a full-size wallet and a sunglasses case. It costs £7,300 in taurillon Clemence (€7,450 in France) and £7,590 in Swift calfskin. The 26 had the widest colour range we confirmed for the Lindy, with Rouge H and Caban seen only on this size, and it is listed in a verso version with the same dimensions.
Lindy 30
Between the 26 and the 30 the difference is mostly length: 29.5 × 19 × 15 cm, so 3.5 cm wider but only 1 cm taller and 1 cm deeper. Hermès lists its strap as 36 cm without snap hook. At £7,980 in taurillon Clemence it is the most expensive Lindy in our reference, and the only colour we could confirm for it was Noir. It is also the size that appears online least often, so expect longer gaps between chances to buy one than for the 26 or the mini.

Hermès prices each country store separately and includes local taxes, so the UK and French figures below are not currency conversions of each other. For the Lindy, size changes the price less than you might expect: in taurillon Clemence the mini costs £6,420, the 26 £7,300 and the 30 £7,980, a gap of £1,560 from smallest to largest. Swift and Volupto versions cost more than Clemence in the same size.
