Hermès Halzan

The Halzan is a Hermès bag with stirrup-shaped handles, an Etriviere buckle and a removable shoulder strap, so it can be carried by hand or worn on the body. The online store lists two sizes, the mini at £4,410 and the 25 at £4,460 in the UK.

What is the Hermès Halzan

The Halzan is a bag designed to be carried several ways. Hermès gives it stirrup-shaped handles and an Etriviere buckle, both nods to the saddlery Hermès started with in Paris in 1837, plus a shoulder strap that comes off. The 25 is described as wearable as a messenger bag, a tote or a clutch; the mini can be carried by hand, over the shoulder or across the body.

Pockets are generous for the size. Both versions have an interior pocket, two front pockets and two back pockets, so a phone or cards can sit outside the main compartment. The Halzan is listed with palladium plated or yellow gold plated hardware. Neither product page mentions a zip or a flap: the Etriviere buckle is the only fastening Hermès names.

Halzan mini

The Halzan mini measures 22 × 15 × 6.5 cm. Its strap is both removable and adjustable, with a range of 52.5 to 112.5 cm, which covers a short shoulder drop at one end and a crossbody length at the other. On hermes.com it is listed in Swift calfskin, with both palladium plated and yellow gold plated hardware. With four exterior pockets and one inside, it suits a phone, a card case and keys better than a full wallet.

Halzan 25

The Halzan 25 measures 25 × 17 × 8 cm, so it is 3 cm wider, 2 cm taller and 1.5 cm deeper than the mini. Its removable strap with snap hook is listed at 114 cm, with no adjustment range given. The 25 is listed in taurillon Clemence, and the colours we could confirm for it are Étoupe, Gold and Noir.

The availability table also includes a Halzan 31. We track it, but it has not appeared since our records began, so we have no Hermès measurements or price for it.

Hermès Halzan prices

In the UK the Halzan mini in Swift calfskin costs £4,410 and the Halzan 25 in taurillon Clemence costs £4,460, a difference of only £50. Since each size is listed in one leather, size and leather go together: a Swift Halzan means the mini, and a Clemence Halzan means the 25. We could not confirm prices in other countries, so the table shows the UK only.

Halzan leathers and colours

Each size comes in one leather on hermes.com. Swift, used for the mini, is almost smooth with a delicate shine and becomes even more supple over time. Taurillon Clemence, used for the 25, has a semi-matt, irregular grain from drumming.

How to buy a Halzan

Both the mini and the 25 are sold through the Hermès online store, and both appear there regularly. When we opened the Halzan product pages on 17 September 2026, every listing showed as out of stock, which is normal between restocks. The practical way to buy online is to be alerted as soon as a size goes live.

In a Hermès boutique

A boutique may have a Halzan on the shelf that is not online, or the other way round, because stores and the website draw on separate stock. Buyers commonly report that asking a sales associate directly is the quickest way to find out; Hermès publishes no rule on how bags are offered in store.

On the resale market

Pre-owned Halzans are sold on resale platforms, usually with a mark-up over retail and a risk of fakes. Check that the seller authenticates the bag, and use the UK prices above to judge the asking price.
